The KSL Aid Project of Mercy
History
In 2002 we established the KSL Mercy Home Project as one of our initiatives to help poor Cambodian people. The project was set up by KSL's founder, Mrs Agnes Verner, in consultation with Ms Addheka SengBou, Executive Director of KSL, and Mrs Leaksmy Rebok, Dean of Studies. The project has grown and become the KSL Aid Project of Mercy (APM).
Mr Daniel Stivey donated US$4,500 in order to buy land for the Mercy Home Project in West Prek Ho Village, Prek Ho Commune, Takhmau District, Kandal Province. This was Mercy Home Number 1.
Ms Addheka SengBou donated US$30,000 in order to buy land for another Mercy Home Project in Sras Keo Village, Melum Commune, Baribo District, Kampong Chhnang Province. The donation was sufficient to buy both agricultural land and a site for fellowship activities. This was Mercy Home Number 2, which has been supporting the local community since 2007.
God has blessed and provided for our ministry to serve poor people through gifts from friends and missionaries.
Aid Project of Mercy has expanded to reach people in Battambang, Takeo, Kampot and Kampong Speu provinces and Phnom Penh and Preah Sihanouk municipalities.
